Bio (in her own words...)
My journey towards healing the wound of the self has brought me to take a nontraditional career path. I completed my 200-hour yoga teacher training at 18 years old in 2014. Through this newfound exposure to wellness, while teaching asana and yogic studies to martial artists, children, and the general population of New York City, I became more interested in the wisdom of the body and the healing art of massage therapy.
I work with clients with all ranges of aliments and hope to inspire them and help them realize that they are their most powerful component in recovery from pain and trauma. My approach to bodywork is about helping a client understand their relationship with themselves. For a long time, it was difficult for me to want to know about my body and its functions. I often felt pain when exploring movement practices such as martial arts and yoga. Massage helped me navigate the understanding of my body and opened up doors to teach others about theirs. It allowed me to understand the advantages and disadvantages of being human. It healed my relationship to touch and gives me the credibility to facilitate another's recovery.
I am passionate about being a peer and mental health advocate. I volunteer for numerous organizations including The Nachan Project, O+ Festival, and NAMI. I am passionate about a trauma-informed and resiliency-based approach. I am currently working on earning my bachelor's degree in Psychology.
In my free time, I enjoy powerlifting, paddleboarding, hiking, and reading nonfiction.
